High School Residencies
¡Monterey County Pops! se dedica a brindar oportunidades de aprendizaje a los programas de música de las escuelas públicas del condado de Monterey. ¡El programa High School Residency ofrece a los estudiantes la oportunidad de trabajar con especialistas instrumentales que tocan su instrumento y tocan codo a codo con los Pops! en un concierto gratuito para sus comunidades.
"We have now returned to some high schools for a second or third residency. On several occasions, students asked me how they could join MCP! and were advised to practice and to attend college as a music major. This demonstrated that the residencies revealed to students that music could be much more than an enjoyable experience for kids in high school. By sharing a clinic and concert with active music professionals they have begun to realize that music can be a part of their adult life and possibly even a career.”
