These identical concerts will each last 80 minutes without intermission and are designed to appeal to the whole family. Seating for the free concerts is first-come first-served. The doors open one hour before the performance.
The program will feature the fully-professional orchestra of Monterey County Pops! conducted by Music Director, Dr. Carl Christensen, and the Hartnell College Choir conducted by Professor Sandy Rudo. Featured soloists are flutist Gilberto Oros and harpist Alexandra Perdew.

Mr. Oros will be the soloist for the “Dance of the Blessed Spirits” from the opera “Orpheus” by Christoph Willibald von Gluck. This piece was popularized by British flutist James Galway.
The Hartnell College Choir will join the orchestra is special arrangements of “The First Noel”, “Angels We Have Heard on High”, the “Ukrainian Bell Carol”, and the Hanukkah favorite “Bashana Hab’ah.”
The orchestra will perform a version of the traditional “Greensleeves” arranged by the great English composer Ralph Vaughan Williams, “Variations on a Shaker Melody” by Aaron Copland, and the “Little Fugue in G Minor” by Bach.
The concert will conclude with two holiday favorites by Leroy Anderson, “A Christmas Festival” and “Sleigh Ride.”
