Salinas Valley Fair Grand Wine Tasting
The 5-piece Jazz Combo will entertain during the Grand Wine Tasting at the Salinas Valley Fair on May 14, 2014 from 6:00 to 8:30 p.m. in the Expo Building. The combo will perform classic Jazz, Swing, Latin, Fusion, and Blues favorites.
Members of the Combo are Piano-John Wineglass, Bass-Steve Uccello, Drums-Jimmy Adams, Sax-Todd Clickard, and Vocals-Tammi Brown.
John Wineglass, in addition to being an active jazz pianist, is an Emmy® Award-Winning Composer. He has composed scores for several documentaries on MSNBC’s “Headliner’s and Legends with Matt Lauer,” for major-network commercials, and for international campaigns on behalf of the American Red Cross, The US Army and others.
Vocalist, Tammi Brown is a sultry songstress and musician receiving broad praise for her rich tones, elegant phrasing, and stylistic versatility. Jazz guitarist Stanley Jordan calls her “a vocalist of immense talent.” Tammi has appeared on stage and in the recording studios with some of the industryʼs best known artists. Her live performances have taken her to Apollo Theater in New York City, Yoshi’s in San Francisco and Mumbai Stadium in India. In addition, Tammi performed at the world-renowned Monterey Bay Blues Festival in June 2011 as well as The Monterey Jazz Festival in September 2012.
Leader,Todd Clickard, performs professionally on the saxophone, flute, clarinet, and trumpet in a wide variety of styles and bands, including jazz, big band, sax quartet, woodwind quartet, pit orchestras for musical productions, church music, and more. Todd has performed with Joe Henderson, Louie Bellson, The Temptations, The Four Tops, Guy Lombardo, The Mills Brothers, Al Martino and Don Schamber’s Alumni Band, to name just a few.
Steve Uccello has appeared as a bassist at many festivals including The Oregon Country Fair, The High Sierra Festival, The Kerville Folk Festival, The Sandpoint Festival, The Millpond Festival, The Island Lake Festival, in British Columbia, The Bumbershoot Festival, and The Folk Life Festival in Seattle. He was also invited to sit in with the Joe Craven Trio at the American River Festival in Coloma, California.
